How Economics Works: Banking

I have to be honest, I'm not sure what age group to recommend this book to--I will say ten and up but a savvy eight year old might enjoy it just as much. In clear, concise writing Barbara Allman explains the history of banking in America to our present-day system and makes it genuinely interesting! The book has lots of ancillary information like a glossary and an extensive list for further reading--both in texts and online. As an adult (who has taken Econ. classes!) I found this book to be extremely informative and interesting. This is a great way to make concrete the abstract concepts of money management--a great introduction to an important part of our social system! -Rhiannon
